Opportunity Cost of Prom

Alright so as many of the other students have gone to prom this is year I have also. It was a fantastic time, although some people didn't dance as much as they SHOULD have. I had a hard time deciding whether I should go or not, mainly because my Aunt and Uncle were going out to New York and wanted me to come with over the weekend to see my cousin graduate from the same college I am going to next year. This was one hell of a hard decision, but I made the right one because this is a once in a lifetime thing you know? Also I had to open up the store at 5 am on the Saturday just to get the night off so I could go to prom as planned, so there goes some damn good sleep I could've had. Also now that its over and I made quite a spectacle of myself trying to fit some Indian Bhangra dancing to American music, I am quite sore all over my body. I had planned on going out with some friends afterward to chill, but found out that I had to do an open to close on Sunday because the lady who was supposed to work fell sick. So now I have learned that opportunity costs are not just before an event or action, they can be administered well after too. Also I just want to add, this was the best thing they have ever done by having prom AFTER AP exams, really helps filter out and get you "de-winded" as I've heard it coined.
